Found it at long last – albeit the 2011 reprint: “Supercool” b/w “Percussion sundance” by Kash (Newlock 1981) … http://www.discogs.com/Kash-Supercool/release/933131

Disarming really, how the Champs, after scoring a hit with their first release named “Tequila” … Soundway will be releasing two more versions on 2011-12-05 … quite different from 1982’s italo version by Bo Boss. Sources for the tracks below:
A Goblink Floyd ripoff or other Oldfieldesque exorcism + a few other gems off the “(Big Bang Present) Italian Funk Experience (Synth Funk, Italo-Exploitation & Espresso-Jazz From Italy 1969-1980)“ v/a cd. Mostly filled with Italian library, it’s not as exquisite as the French volume, sadly. Also just out in Nascente‘s half-a-midprice “Funk Experience” series: “(DJ Andy Smith & Keith Lawrence Present) Jamaican Funk Experience (Rude-Boy Riddims, Skanking Horns & Boss Reggae)“ – similarly great but not grandiose.
Whilst we wait for volume 2, here’s two tracks off 2010’s “Danza Meccanica Italian Synth Wave 1982-1987” v/a cd on Mannequin (MNQ 005) / In the Night Time (NT 012). Standout track “Behind the door” by Victrola is a home studio recording from 1985, previously unreleased until it became a bonus track on the cd edition, which features three tracks not on the 2lp version.
The original of “Flash” is by the Duke of Burlington (pseudonym of Mario Battaini) and dates from 1969 (as released on Signal / Saar). The Tony Carrasco produced Italo remake on Proto dates from 1983. Val Merrall‘s cover version was recorded between 1970 and 1974 somewhere. It’s on the “Gypsy Creams & Ginger Nuts – Sounds That Swept The Supermarkets (The Redifunk Of Rediffusion) (Mood Mosaic Volume Ten)” v/a cd on RPM (2007, cat. no. 328).
