“”Per Un Pugno Di Samba” has Italian lyrics and was released only in Italy, since the record company executives did not see any commercial perspective to release an album with Italian lyrics outside Italy. The album was not successful from a commercial standpoint when released and was not issued in Brazil or any other country. In that same 1970 session, the duo also recorded Portuguese lyrics on top of the original album. This ‘version’ in Portuguese was not released until the year of 2000, howver, when the French label Rym Music made it available in France as Chico Buarque & Ennio Morricone – “Sonho De Um Carnaval”.
