Philamore Lincoln = Julien Covey = Phil Kinorra. His “mysterious” US only lp “The North Wind Blew South” (1968) has just (2010-02-14) been reissued by Grapefruit (cat. no. CRSEG011, via Cherry Red). The Yardbirds’ Chris Dreja took the album photo, while Jimmy Page contributed a fierce lead guitar break to one track (go find it, Zepnerds). The album is a bit uneven, but these two songs are really beautiful, as are the spellbinding The plains of delight and the title track, which has already been compiled a number of times. (And covered, as you can hear here, by Headless Heroes, with Alina Diane on vocals.) So there. And this is where I got the image from: http://ironleg.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/philamore-lincoln-the-north-wind-blew-south/
