vega chilton vaughn

Originally from “Cubist Blues” (Thirsty Ear 1996) reissued as Cubist Blues Redux” (Last Call 2006) … but I discovered it via Alan Vega’s strong (and mostly original) soundtrack to Sombre(source of the image here soundtrack via Diaphana / Labels 1999). Click here for an interview with (and all relevant links to) director Philippe Grandrieux, co-interviewed with his fellow director Bruno Dumont (whose newest “Hadewijch” will soon be opening dans les salles, hence the posts). And make no mistake, this particular track isn’t just by Alan Vega (of Suicide fame) but also by Alex Chilton (of Box Tops and Big Star fame) and Ben Vaughn (soon to have more solo fame I’m sure).
